Meet the team
Adriana Mezic M.A.
Adriana Mezic is the co-founder of AIMdyn, Inc. and has served as its CEO since 2003. She holds degrees in nursing and health education and spent over a decade working in the medical field, including serving as Director of the Medical Assistant Program at Santa Barbara Business College. Her research and scientific publications focus on the application of agent-based modeling in the social sciences, with particular interest in how agent–environment interactions influence behaviors such as alcohol use and urban insurgency dynamics. She has also published in the areas of prenatal diabetes, smoking prevention and policy, and addiction. Adriana brings particular strength in strategic planning and financial resilience, both in leading AIMdyn and in her nonprofit work. She is deeply committed to the nonprofit sector and is a past Board President of the Jodi House Brain Support Center. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation and continues her involvement as an Ambassador. In her free time, Adriana enjoys reading, traveling, and cooking.
Dr. Igor Mezic
Professor Mezic works in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), dynamical
systems, control theory and applications to security, energy efficient design
and operations in complex systems. He did his Ph. D. in Dynamical Systems
at the California Institute of Technology. For his work on analysis and control
of complex systems, he was named Fellow of the American Physical Society,
Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics and Fellow of the
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He is the recipient of the
2021 Crawford Prize, awarded once in two years to a researcher in
Dynamical Systems Theory. Dr. Mezic is a Distinguished Professor in the
Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Mathematics
and the Director of the Center for Energy Efficient Design at the University of
California, Santa Barbara. He is the co-Founder and CTO at AIMdyn, Inc. and
Chief Scientist and CTO at Mixmode.ai
Dr. Maria Fonoberova
Maria received her B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Moldova State University in 2005 and her Ph.D. in Mathematics and Physics from the Academy of Sciences of Moldova in 2008. She joined AIMdyn in 2008 and currently serves as Senior Director of Operations, leading company-wide operations including program execution, strategic planning, budgeting, recruiting and staffing, contract operations, and process improvement. Maria brings 15+ years of technical and program leadership for government and private-sector customers, with executive-level communication, cross-sector negotiation, and a track record of ensuring alignment with government compliance requirements.
Terry Phillip Ingram
Terry is a hands on seasoned Business Operations professional with 45 years’ experience in the finance / contracts / cost management arena in a wide variety of work environments with Fortune 50 and start-up companies. Thirty-five plus years’ experience working with the Defense Contract Audit Agency on all aspects of finance, contracts, and accounting issues. Prototypical and production manufacturing experience in an ERP environment.
Thomas Larmore
Thomas is an accounting and finance professional with over 10 years' experience working with boutique, regional, and multinational firms across several industries including manufacturing, retail, and commercial real estate. He graduated from the University of Utah and currently lives in western Washington. He is also an avid reader, board game enthusiast, and recent baseball convert.
John Echeveste
John graduated from UC Santa Barbara, and has been working in IT for over 20 years. He specializes in Identity Management and Security. In his free time John enjoys cycling, running, and travel.
Dr. Allan M. Avila
Allan received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California Riverside in 2015, his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2017 and his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2020. Allan joined AIMdyn in 2019 and is currently the Director of Research & Technology. Allan's general research is the data-driven analysis and forecasting of dynamical systems via spectral operator methods.
Joseph Vidal
Joseph has a bachelor's in physics from RPI and a master's in applied physics from Yale. His research interests are quantum mechanics and AI. His hobbies are music, drawing, and soccer.
Dr. Lucas Domulevicz
Luke graduated from Wilkes University with B.S. in Electrical Engineering and B.A. in Physics before completing his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Davis. His research interests include nanoelectronics and photonics, quantum chemistry, and machine learning. In his free time, Luke enjoys long distance running and playing the guitar.
Dr. Alessandro Monteros
Alessandro received his B.S. in Physics from Pepperdine, M.S. in Physics from Cal State Fullerton with a focus on quantum transport, and PhD in Physics from UC Merced with a focus on analog quantum computing. He has a unquenchable curiosity, enjoys learning and improving in his craft, and is always up to tackle a challenging problem. In his free time Alessandro cooks, watches UFC breakdowns, reads, and spends time with family. One day he hopes to have a small spectroscopy lab in his garage.
Marcus Koseck
Marcus Koseck graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S. in Mathematics and Physics and DePaul University with an M.S. in Data Science with a concentration in computational machine learning. His research interests primarily surround physics informed machine learning, probabilistic inference, and decision making. In his free time, he loves to read, build reinforcement learning algorithms for his YouTube channel, and cook.
Dr. Mark Ronnenberg
Mark received a Ph.D. in mathematics from Indiana University in 2023. His research interests include low dimensional topology, gauge theory, and applied topology. His hobbies include music, retro video games, and reading.
Dr. Isaac Shelby
Isaac received his B.S. in physics from Carnegie Mellon University before completing his M.S. and PhD in physics from the University of Washington. His research involved wet-lab work, though the primary focus was simulation and data analysis for a new biological assay being developed. In his free time he enjoys running, trivia, and travel.
CJ Williams
CJ is a software architect and engineer with over 15 years of experience designing, building, and scaling high-performance cloud-native systems across fintech, e-commerce, and federal research. His work focuses on distributed systems, event-driven architecture, API design, cloud infrastructure, and practical applications of AI and modern software engineering to complex technical problems. CJ has led architecture and implementation across systems built with technologies such as Python, Go, Java, Typescript, Kubernetes, Terraform, Kafka, and AWS, GCP, and Azure, with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, ad maintainable execution. In his free time, CJ enjoys learning about science, exploring emerging technologies, and building systems that turn ambitious ideas into working products.
Mars Mezic
Mars is a UC Santa Barbara graduate and Product Specialist working at the intersection of data, software development, and marketing. At AIMdyn, she collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to help develop and launch software products, contributing to UI design, user experience, branding, and lead generation strategies that translate complex technical capabilities into intuitive tools. With a background in ecology, she's particularly interested in environmentally responsible AI and efficient data systems.
Dr. William Redman
Will is an incoming Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, and an affiliated member of JHU's Data Science and AI Institute. He works broadly on dynamical systems theory, computational neuroscience, and machine learning. He has been working with AIMdyn since 2021 on projects involving Koopman Operator Theory to study and improve machine learning.
Cole Giusto
Cole is a graduate student at the University of California, Santa Barbara studying Dynamics and Controls. His hobbies include programming, making espresso, and playing pickup basketball.
Wesley Gardner
Wes is a graduate student at the University of California, Santa Barbara studying Dynamics, Robotics, and Controls. In his free time he likes to listen to and play music, and is prone to giving long and breathless responses to any questions about David Bowie asked in his vicinity.
Noah Silverberg
Noah is an undergraduate at Yale University, where he is pursuing a B.S. in physics and mathematics. He enjoys spending time with friends, playing pickleball, and attempting to decipher ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs.
Sasha Drucker
Sasha is an undergraduate at Scripps College studying mathematics with a minor in data science. In her free time she loves to listen to music, rewatch sitcoms, and do flips whenever she gets the chance.
